Genetically modified foods does have some benefits, but the foods can have some consequences to the consumers. The foods were sprayed with a pesticide to kill the insects on the foods, but I think that one day, the pesticide would be so powerful that it would be dangerous for humans. The benefits of this, would be that the consumers with allergies can be able to eat the foods they couldn't get to eat.

During the Victorian period, women wear corsets that would shape their bodies into hourglasses. The corsets would make them the ideal woman for the best suitable man, but there were also dangers that came with the beauty. The corset squeezed the waistband inward, pishing the organs downward, sometimes leaving them unprotected. Because the corset was so popular in the 19th century, the women today wear them to slim their waist. One woman, by the name of Pixee Fox, removed six of her ribs and had surgery on her whole body, costing over $125,000, to give her the cartoon body she wanted. The cartoon character she mocked was also a slim-waisted female who had an S-shaped body. The S-shaped body was made by a tight corset that squeezed on the body, make the body contour into an S-shape.

The reason why 'The Great Gatsby' was titled great is because it shows that a man who came up from nothing and gained everything he even wanted, can just lose it by falling in love. Gatsby was that man, who just a worker and a soldier, that fell in love with Daisy. He threw parties and waited for Daisy to come back to him, but the only problem was that she was married to an unfaithful husband, Tom. The story was told by Daisy's cousin, Nick, who became Gatsby's friend, but only because Nick was Daisy's cousin. Gatsby had all he could ever wanted, but when he saw Daisy, his world was flipped upside down. Gatsby uses his parties and Nivk to get Daisy's attention, but the plan doesn't always goes on as planned. They always had a roadblock, like Tom or Jordan, Daisy not getting Gatsby's love for her or Daisy still picking Tom's unfaithfulness over Gatsby's obsession. Sooner or later, Gatsby's obsession and Tom's unfaithfulness was going to take a bad turn. Wilson's wife Myrtle, Tom's mistress, was killed by Daisy, who driving a car with Gatsby. Knowing that she could go to jail, Gatsby took the blame for Myrtle's death, but only Nick knew what happened. Myrtle told Wilson that she cheated on him before she died, but never told him that it was one if his closest friends, Tom. Wilson was told that Myrtle's lover killed her. Taking that advice, Wilson shot Gatsby, dead, in his pool. And that was the end of 'The Great Gatsby.'

Blog Post #5

Dear Diary,
I want to know what goes on in Gatsby's mind when he sees me. Why does he get so nervous around me and why does he get so quiet? Oh, well. Everyone's going out for a drive, and when I mean everyone- Tom, Nick, Jordan, Gatsby and I- are all going. As Tom and I are together, I can't shake the feeling that I lonely without Gatsby by my side. Why do I feel this way around my husband? Should I tell Tom how I feel or keep it a secret? We see Wilson and his wife, Myrtle, when we stopped. Wilson found out that his wife was having an affair with someone, but he couldn't figure it out. Gatsby and Tom walked somewhere and had a rather unpleasant conversation about me. After that, Gatsby, pretty much said nothing to me, but offered to take me home. I agreed, and we drove off, leaving the others. Mad, that Tom and Gatsby argued, made me feel like I'm to explore. Then, Boom, I hit something. Myrtle! I didn't know what to do, I didn't see her because I was speeding and I guess she just walked onto the road. I decided to drive off, with Gatsby, and hide, hoping no one saw what happened. Gatsby said that he would take the blame if anyone found out. I couldn't help feeling helpless, but agreed to his plan. When Tom was home, we settled our differences and feel deeper in love, but the guilt was just beginning.

Gatsby Ch1

In the first chapter of 'The Great Gatsby' was more of an introduction to Nick's life and how he met Gatsby and how his cousin, Daisy, makes Gatsby fall for her. He started his trip alone, picked up a friend, then the friend left, had a dog, the dog ran away, and was on his own again. Then the story changes to where Nick is now with his cousin, Daisy, and her husband, Tom. Miss Baker, a friend of Daisy, is with them also. Who is Miss. Baker and why is she so important to the story? Tom is ranting to everyone how the white race should watch out or the other races would take control. Being that the setting is in the 1920s, racism is still around, but it's not the main point of the chapter. The mood changes when Tom receives a phone call from his rumored lover, Daisy is furious and follows. Nick and Baker is alone while the couple is possibly arguing. After the few minutes, Tom returns, but leaves and Baker went to sleep for her tournament tomorrow. Nick and Daisy talk for a while and then Tom returns to take Nick on a ride.
